Pipli Applique Lord Jagannath Wall Hanging (Red): 4×4 Feet of Odisha’s Heritage
Overview
Pipli applique is one of Odisha’s most loved folk crafts, known for bright colours, layered fabric patchwork, and detailed stitching. This large 4×4 feet red wall hanging shows the tradition at its best, with Lord Jagannath at the centre, framed by flowing patterns. Red is considered a colour of devotion, energy, and celebration, which makes this piece a lively addition to any space.
Lord Jagannath Centrepiece
The expressive eyes and face of Lord Jagannath sit inside a black circular frame with golden dot accents, set at the heart of a lotus-petal mandala. Many devotees see this design as auspicious and place it at home to invite peace, positivity, and blessings.
Rich Detailing and Mirror Work
Fine thread embroidery, small mirror pieces, and layered fabric cutwork add sparkle and depth. Blue and green flowers with white vine patterns wind around the circular border, and green leaf motifs decorate the four corners.
Bold Festive Colours
The deep red background makes the black, green, blue, and yellow details stand out. The bright yellow zig-zag border adds a festive touch.
Generous 4×4 Feet Size
At 4 x 4 feet, this piece makes a striking statement on a main wall. It also works well as a backdrop for pooja decoration, festival setups, Rath Yatra celebrations, and temple or event decor.
Wall Hanging, Backdrop, or Gift
Use it as a wall hanging, a pooja room backdrop, or an altar spread. It is a meaningful gift for housewarmings, weddings, festivals, and corporate gifting.
