Pipli Applique Lord Jagannath Wall Hanging: 4×4 Feet of Odisha’s Heritage
Overview
Pipli applique is one of Odisha’s most loved folk crafts, known for vibrant colours, layered fabric patchwork, and intricate stitching. This large 4×4 feet wall hanging shows that tradition at its best, with Lord Jagannath at the centre in rich red, black, and white, surrounded by detailed patterns. It adds colour, devotion, and cultural character to any space.
Lord Jagannath Centrepiece
The large expressive eyes and face of Lord Jagannath are set at the centre of a lotus-petal mandala. Many devotees consider this design auspicious and use it to bring peace, positivity, and blessings to the home.
Rich Detailing and Mirror Work
Fine thread embroidery, small mirror pieces, and layered fabric cutwork add sparkle and depth. Floral vines in pink, green, and white curl around the circular border, and decorative motifs fill the four corners.
Bold Colours
The deep navy blue background makes the red, pink, green, and orange details stand out clearly. The bright yellow zig-zag border completes the look with a festive touch.
Generous 4×4 Feet Size
At 4 x 4 feet, this piece makes a striking statement on a main wall. It also works well as a backdrop for pooja decoration, festival setups, Rath Yatra celebrations, and temple or event decor.
Wall Hanging, Backdrop, or Gift
Use it as a wall hanging, a pooja room backdrop, or a table or altar spread. It is a meaningful gift for housewarmings, weddings, festivals, and corporate gifting.
